We are seeking a talented physicist to join our team at UKAEA Special Techniques Group. As a Physics Specialist, you will play a vital role in advancing our research into exhaust experiments and integrated scenario modelling.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a physicist to contribute to pioneering research in fusion energy. You will work closely with our team to design and develop new experimental devices, perform research studies, and lead teams of researchers.

You will communicate results through presentations, written reports, conferences, and peer-reviewed journal papers, and collaborate with internal and external partners to advance our research programme.

Requirements
  • PhD or equivalent in physics, engineering, or a closely-related discipline.
  • Broad knowledge of tokamak-plasma physics with emphasis on relevant field of research.
  • Substantial research experience, international recognition, and excellent publication record in the field of research.
  • Experience in leading an interdisciplinary team of senior and junior researchers in an international research environment.
