Job Description

A rewarding opportunity awaits a highly skilled Deputy Manager to join Consistent Quality Support, a leading provider of residential child care services. This role offers a challenging and dynamic work environment where you will play a key part in supporting the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality care to vulnerable children and young people.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as a Deputy Manager or Senior Support Worker in a residential childcare setting. Strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to manage complex behaviors are essential qualities for this position. A driving license is mandatory, and possession of an NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care or Children & Young People's Workforce qualification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Registered Manager in organizing and leading a team of Residential Child Care Workers.
  • Lead by example, planning shifts, and working as part of the rota to promote good practice and additional support to staff.
  • Work collaboratively with your team to implement therapeutic parenting principles in caring for children and young people.
  • Provide ongoing support, share knowledge, and offer supervision to team members to ensure they meet their daily duties.
  • Promote learning and development opportunities to motivate the team to continually strive for improvement and best practice.
  • Assist the Registered Manager with health and safety, safer recruitment, HR, and administrative duties.
