Children's Care Worker

SGS Care Ltd is a leading provider of care services, committed to delivering high-quality support to children and young people. We are seeking an experienced Residential Childcare Practitioner to join our team as an EBD Specialist.
Salary: £28,000 per annum (inclusive of sleeps), with opportunities for overtime to increase salary up to £32,000.
This role involves working shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, with sleep-ins required. As an EBD Specialist, you will provide care and support to children aged 5-17 in a new home designed for Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties.
You will be responsible for developing secure, caring relationships with children, implementing admission protocols and care plans, and fulfilling health, education, and training needs. You will also engage children in developmentally appropriate activities and collaborate with professionals to support their needs and advocate for their rights.
The provider is committed to achieving the best outcomes for children, creating a nurturing environment that supports safety, growth, and development. Our caregiving approach is guided by the PACE model and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, focusing on attachment and trauma-informed care.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in childcare, with knowledge of child protection procedures and residential childcare. You must also hold a valid UK driving licence.
