About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Support Worker to join our team at Witham Prospect School.

Job Description

This role involves supporting children and young people with severe learning disabilities, autism, and complex care needs to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with our highly qualified therapist team to develop individual care plans and positive behaviour support strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting children and young people in meeting their needs through effective communication and collaboration with our team.
  • Promoting choice, independence, dignity, privacy, and fulfillment of rights for all individuals.
  • Managing challenging behaviour using approved approaches defined within individual Positive Behaviour Support plans and Sherwood training.
Requirements
  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete).
  • Safeguarding practice understanding and additional training willingness.
  • Enthusiasm, confidence, and resilience when faced with behaviours of concern.
  • Ability to act professionally at all times, ensuring professional boundaries.
  • Caring and compassionate nature towards those in need of care and support.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
