Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Specialist to join our team at Witham Prospect School. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to children and young adults with severe learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.

Job Responsibilities

As a Residential Support Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children and young adults to meet their individual needs and achieve their full potential
  • Promoting choice, independence, dignity, privacy, and fulfillment of rights
  • Effectively managing challenging behavior using positive behavior support plans and Sherwood training
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A willingness to complete the NVQ/QCF Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare if not already held
  • An understanding of safeguarding practice and a willingness to undertake additional training
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • A caring and compassionate approach to supporting individuals in need
