We are seeking

to appoint a Diversity and Inclusion Specialist who will play a key role in shaping and leading projects to fulfil the departments' Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) strategies. The successful candidate will work closely with both DPIR's EDI Academic Lead and ODID's EDI Committee Chair on a range of projects relating to equality, diversity and inclusion. The role requires a high degree of initiative and independent decision making, including leading projects from conception through to final implementation in-line with the departments' longer term EDI strategies. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for two years in the first instance.

About you

  • Education to degree level or equivalent
  • Strong organisational, planning and project management skills
  • Ability to compile, analyse and manage data
  • Knowledge of Athena Swan and working on equality and diversity issues in the Higher Education sector
