Job Summary

The Security Administration Manager is a key resource within the IT Governance, Risk & Compliance team at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation - SMBC Group. This role is responsible for ensuring all identity & access management activities are carried out in accordance with Information Security policy while maintaining effective oversight of these activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the Governance and Oversight of identity and access management function delivered as a service by intragroup service providers to ensure it meets business requirements.
  • Oversee the day-to-day provisioning, recertification and related activities of Security Access Administration in London serving as a contact point for escalation across EMEA.
  • Act as a security liaison with business units to actively seek out improvement opportunities in areas of Identity & Access Management.
  • Support the Governance, Regulatory & Compliance function within Security team to provide timely response to any matters concerning regulatory/audit requests.

Responsibilities and Authority

  • Responsible for ensuring the effective operation of identity and access management as a service, including issue resolution management across EMEA.
  • Oversee day-to-day provisioning and activities of the Security Administration team in London and serve as a contact point for escalation for the business and technology teams across EMEA.
  • Liaise with administration teams in North America and Tralee to facilitate the processing of access requests, reviews, and audits.
  • Initiate and monitor scheduled and ad-hoc reviews of application and restricted folder access.
  • Provide input, feedback, and evidence for internal and external audits.

Requirements

  • Educated to degree level (bachelor's degree in computer science or related field) or equivalent working experience.
  • Strong understanding of processes around Identity & Access Management for both business and IT perspective.
  • Significant functional and industry specific experience and expertise with a strong understanding of Identity and Access Management processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management, including working with diverse teams in other regions.
  • Good experience in data analysis, MS Office suite applications, access management platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate appropriate, concise and accurate information.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, in particular service orientation, organisational awareness and people empathy.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to operate sensitively and effectively in a multicultural environment.
