Laboratory Support Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Support Associate to join our team at Beautiful Recruitment. As a Laboratory Support Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory facilities and supporting our scientists in their research endeavors.
Key Responsibilities- Lab Operations and Maintenance: Conduct regular lab walkthroughs to identify areas for improvement, manage inventory, and ensure the lab is clean and tidy.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the management of lab equipment, supplies, and consumables, including vendor-managed inventory and stock control.
- Waste Management: Facilitate waste management and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lab Equipment Maintenance: Assist with the maintenance and troubleshooting of lab equipment, including autoclaves and sterilization operations.
- Vendor Management: Meet and greet external laboratory equipment engineers and arrange site visits for planned and preventative maintenance.
- General Lab Tasks: Perform general lab tasks to support daily lab functions, including glass washing and lab porterage.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, such as a Laboratory Services Coordinator, Laboratory Technician, or Laboratory Assistant, in an academic, biotech, pharma/research, or clinical setting.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a solutions-focused mindset. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Qualifications: An understanding of EH&S compliance and crisis management practices, with an EH&S qualification such as NEBOSH desirable.
