Care New England Health System is seeking a skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide optimal pharmaceutical care daily and develop systems for desirable patient outcomes through safe and cost-effective drug therapies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitor drug therapies, interactions, and appropriateness, interpreting medication orders and maintaining accurate patient profiles.
  • Review lab data, detect adverse reactions, and document clinical activities.
  • Provide accurate drug information and suggest cost-effective alternatives.
  • Coordinate support personnel and perform related duties.

Clinical Pharmacist Roles:

  • Deliver optimal medication therapy and review medication regimens to identify and resolve problems.
  • Act as a primary source of scientifically-valid drug information and advice.
  • Interpret medication orders and interact with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Perform related duties.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Oversee sterile preparations and parenteral nutrition.
  • Optimize chemotherapy regimens and monitor laboratory values.
  • Supervise support staff and maintain knowledge in pharmacotherapeutics.
  • Lead quality improvement processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE accredited School.
  • Valid RI Pharmacist license.
  • Clinical Specialist: residency or 5 years of clinical experience, BLS/ACLS/PALS preferred.
  • IV Specialist: expertise in USP 797 protocols and chemotherapy protocols, hazardous drug handling.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year. This compensation is based on industry standards and the level of expertise required for this position.
