**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Support Specialist to join our team at Care New England Health System. As a key member of our pharmacy staff, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care by providing support to patients and pharmacists.

About the Role

  • You will work closely with our experienced pharmacists to ensure medication adherence, including labeling and filling prescriptions, interpreting and accurately entering prescriptions, and clarifying prescription orders as necessary.
  • You will perform pharmaceutical calculations with precision, identify medications requiring special storage and handling, and prepare supplies necessary for select medications.
  • You will deliver medication to patients and departments efficiently, address inbound inquiries, resolve issues, and triage calls effectively.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Registration as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern in the State of Rhode Island is mandatory.
  • 1+ year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, with a preferred 5+ years of experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with branch departments.
