Our client, a highly successful and progressive company, is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Director to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in developing sales through a distributor network within automotive factors, agriculture dealers, tool shops, or industrial dealers.

The role reports into the Regional Manager and offers opportunities for progression within the company.

The Regional Sales Director will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, acquiring new business, and maintaining and developing client relations.

Key duties include:

  1. Visiting distribution prospects and customers as part of a structured plan to develop the area
  2. Prospecting new accounts
  3. Presenting products and sales promotions to distributors to encourage repeat business
  4. Provision of sales training to distributor sales teams
  5. Seeking new distributors
  6. Capturing competitive information
  7. Social media communication
  8. Managing diary
  9. Compiling reports
  10. Keeping up to date with industry changes/technology
  11. Working to sales targets
  12. Attending sales meetings

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

They will also have a strong understanding of the sales process and be able to identify opportunities for growth and development.
