Job Title: Controller/Call Handler

We are seeking a skilled and organized individual to join our team as a Controller/Call Handler. This role is responsible for managing the dispatch and management of operational crews to ensure timely and efficient collection and delivery of patients between destinations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Plan and manage daily and future bookings within the Cleric controlling system, ensuring resourcing is correct and all sub-contractor, taxi and volunteers are informed where applicable.
  • Dispatch and manage operational crews to achieve contractual targets and maintain high-quality service standards.
  • Receive and respond to patient transport requests and queries in a professional and polite manner, ensuring compliance with relevant service procedures and standing orders.
  • Perform general clerical duties, including data input, completing ad-hoc forms/invoices as necessary, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Enhance the performance and quality of service offered to patients and customers by identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Liaise with other agencies, such as GPs, Nursing Homes, Hospital Clinics, and Wards, to ensure seamless patient flow and effective communication.
Requirements:
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, gained from experience of dealing with customers or members of the public.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and problem-solve, with good organizational skills.
