We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Transport Assistant to join our team in Staffordshire. The ideal candidate will have effective communication and interpersonal skills, gained from experience of dealing with customers or members of the public.

The estimated salary for this role is £11.44 per hour.

Job Description

This exciting opportunity is within the EMED Group, the largest Patient Transport and Care Partner to the NHS. Our aim is to provide transport services that improve the health and wellbeing for people across our local communities by providing transport that supports patient care, community support, secure mental health, and medical courier services.

As a Patient Transport Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with all aspects of the CCO, including call taking, control planning, and handling crew calls.
  • Receiving requests for patient transport and queries regarding ambulance journeys, ensuring compliance with relevant service procedures and standing orders.
  • Undertaking general clerical duties, including data input and completing ad-hoc forms/invoices as necessary.

You will work closely with other agencies, such as GPs, Nursing Homes, Hospital Clinics, and Wards, to ensure efficient collection and delivery of patients between destinations.
