Senior Recovery Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee a portfolio of the Company's default and recovery loan cases, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.
  • Develop and implement a business strategy to optimize recovery outcomes, aligning with the Company's growth objectives.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of loan and security documents, credit papers, and valuations to inform case assessments.
  • Design and execute recovery strategies for each case, leveraging proactive management to maximize repayment.
  • Present case strategies and progress updates to the Company's borrower review forum and risk board, as required.
  • Implement recovery strategies through effective communication with borrowers, guarantors, advisors, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide regular progress reports to the Head of Legal and Recoveries, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Compile data and management information on default and recovery cases, supporting informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Risk Officer to deliver the business strategy, driving growth and minimizing risk.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in loan portfolio management, with a focus on defaults and recoveries.
  • Strong knowledge of property lending and loan security, with the ability to assess company accounting information.
  • Excellent understanding of banking and financial services practices, with a commercial awareness.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop effective recovery strategies.
  • Invoice Finance or Trade Finance experience is highly desirable.
