About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Ecommerce Events Lead to join our team at Boots. This is a key role within our ecommerce team, responsible for the implementation, execution, and analysis of events online to achieve growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement the end-to-end trade overlay events plan within beauty ecommerce, working closely with cross-functional teams to land events on the website, including asset briefing, promotional setup, performance analysis, and supporting ecommerce teams with strategic planning.
  2. Conduct in-depth analysis of events performance for relevant categories, reviewing digital KPIs (including traffic, click-through rates, conversion), alongside commercial KPIs (revenue and profit), to support the shaping of the future trade overlay events plan.
  3. Collaborate with ecommerce and category trading teams to understand category, product, and brand priorities, briefing event assets and on-site support accordingly to reflect this.
  4. Drive innovation with event look and feel and customer journey, undertaking competitor reviews of event execution, and seeking out new ways to refresh the events execution on-site.
  5. Review the strength of the events plan and line list versus the prior year, and highlight key drivers, risks, and recommendations to ecommerce leads in order to support growth plans.

Requirements

  1. Commercial experience, either within ecommerce, retail trading/buying, or commercial planning.
  2. Strong operational skills and exposure to implementing plans and projects efficiently, at pace.
  3. Analytical, with an understanding of online trading levers and performance marketing.
  4. Experience in using data and insight to make informed recommendations on driving the events plan.
  5. Excellent stakeholder management – confident engaging and holding to account team, peers, wider digital and commercial teams along with senior stakeholders.
