Job Summary

The WCS role is responsible for managing the day-to-day Workers' Compensation (WC) claims for ongoing and new clients ensuring no lost time, recovery and return to work. This includes strong return to work / no lost time strategies, appeals and analysis of data for ongoing and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and development of practices and procedures for claims and disability management services.
  • Communication with key stakeholders involved to manage return-to-work planning and mitigate lost time.
  • Management of the claim, evaluation of historical claim performance, confirmation of treatment programs with the healthcare provider, and liaison with all stakeholders to provide solution-focused programs that are entered into our proprietary system, OrgSys, and follow best practices for claim and care management.
  • Establish and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Delivery of quarterly and annual reports with a continuous improvement focus.

Requirements

  • Exceptional skill in fact gathering, reviewing objective medical information and analyzing cases using proven return-to-wellness strategies.
  • At least two years of disability management experience, including short-term and long-term disability adjudication.
  • Strong medical knowledge and a customer service focus.
