About the Role

Shack Events is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staffing Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth deployment of casual staff at our venues across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment and selection of casual staff, including leading group interviews and onboarding new starters.
  • Talent scouting and spotting, identifying potential candidates for future roles.
  • Training and development of event staff, delivering training programs to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Event staffing fulfillment, ensuring that venues are appropriately staffed for events.
  • Event day and venue administration, leading on security measures and maintaining accurate records.
  • Post-event review, debriefing with event managers to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in staffing major events, stadia, or sporting venues.
  • Strong decision-making skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support event staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
