We are seeking a skilled Medical Staffing Specialist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust.

Located in London, this role will involve managing medical staffing rotas across the Medical Directorate. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with senior clinicians and management, as well as dealing with medical staff.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

As a Medical Staffing Specialist, you will be responsible for co-ordinating, logging, and monitoring all types of leave for medical staff. You will also act as the first point of contact for issues relating to Junior Doctors, including sickness reporting, annual leave, study leave, shift swaps, and organizing locum cover. This will include involvement in induction and training days. You will work with the medical team to support Statutory Mandatory compliance for General Medicine. The post holder will assist and support the Operational team in entering locum shifts for medical staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree-level qualification or equivalent training
  • Experience in a similar role within the NHS setting

You will need to have excellent interpersonal communication skills and telephone manner, as well as the ability to manage and resolve complex staffing issues using your own initiative. You should also have experience of managing Excel spreadsheets and producing reports, as well as proficiency in IT software such as Word and database packages.
