Communications Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications & Engagement Manager to join our team at the Department for Work and Pensions. As a key member of our Communications team, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering dynamic communication and engagement activities across our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement innovative communication strategies to engage our colleagues and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver timely and accessible communications to over 2500 colleagues.
- Lead the development and maintenance of our internal communication plan, ensuring alignment with departmental and organizational priorities.
- Oversee the creation and dissemination of communication products, including news articles, social media posts, and intranet content.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leaders and subject matter experts.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in communication and engagement.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in drafting and briefing senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and adapt to a fast-paced workload, meeting changing demands and customer needs.
- Experience in developing and implementing communication strategies, with a focus on engagement and inclusivity.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
