BSL Interpreter Role

We Manage Jobs (WMJobs) is seeking a highly skilled BSL Interpreter to join our team in supporting d/Deaf learners in a college for young adults with a range of disabilities. The successful candidate will provide interpreting services, enabling students to access their course and interact meaningfully with academic staff and peers.
The role requires flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to work as part of a team to aid participation in educational, social, and employment opportunities for learners. Key responsibilities include providing front-of-class interpreting during teaching, working closely with Communication Support Workers, and supporting students outside of the classroom and extracurricular activities.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both signing and speaking, and be able to create effective lesson plans in collaboration with tutors. They will also be responsible for raising awareness among staff and students about factors affecting communication quality and promoting equality and integration of d/Deaf students.
