Job Title: Senior Band 6 Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Band 6 Nurse to join our team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children and their families in our specialist unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and lead a team of nursing staff to ensure the delivery of excellent patient care.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for children and young people with complex mental health needs.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with service users, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures to ensure best practice.
  • Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of junior staff to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse Mental Health (RNMH) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with complex mental health needs.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including the Mental Health Act 2007 and the Care Programme Approach.
