Administrative Support Officer

Job Summary:
The role of Collection Officer is to provide administrative support to HMCTS in ensuring payments are brought to account, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deputising for Band D Team Leaders as and where required
- Supervising post opening/floor walker
- Allocating workload to band F staff
- Receiving, balancing, and banking all monies paid
- Processing correspondence and reports in respect of fixed penalties, camera detected, and similar offences
- Processing payments allocated to the suspense account
- Monitoring and updating suspended cases from computer reports
- Monitoring and actioning all items received into the secure email
- Processing refunds, cheques, and payments as authorised
- Inputting, locating, and retrieving data from computer systems and preparing appropriate papers
- Checking, validating, and amending computer-held data
- Dealing effectively with all public enquiries and liaising with the DVLA and Police Forces
- Undertaking a range of general office duties, including answering switchboard/telephones, using a range of computer software and hardware, handling incoming and outgoing mail, letter writing, basic stock control, and collecting a range of statistical data
