Medical Office Administrator

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Medical Personal Assistant to join our clinical support team at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to consultants, medical staff, and other multi-disciplinary team members.
Main Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for communication with consultants, medical staff, and other multi-disciplinary team members.
- Liaise with departments, general practitioners, patients, relatives, and visitors to resolve queries as appropriate.
- Undertake office duties as required as part of the multidisciplinary team.
- Prioritize workload and multitask in a fast-paced working environment.
- Provide advice and demonstrate own initiatives or workplace routines to new or less experienced employees within the team.
- Promote good customer relations and public image of the department.
- Arrange patients' outpatient appointments using Medway / Careflow and inform patients of appointments by post and telephone.
Requirements
- Experience of working with the public.
- Experience of working as part of a busy team.
- Competent user of IT systems.

As a Medical Personal Assistant at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, you can expect a competitive salary range of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
