**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to support our learning provision at Wakefield Council. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in providing support to our teachers and students, ensuring a smooth and effective learning environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Deliver engaging and interesting lessons to meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Provide effective classroom cover in the absence of the main class teacher.
  • Manage behaviour within the classroom, promoting a positive and respectful learning environment.
  • Assist in the overall raising of pupil standards and achievements, through raising pupils' esteem, expectations, and aspirations.
  • Inspire pupils of all abilities within a range of subjects to achieve their highest potential.
  • Deal with situations in a calm and professional manner.
  • Utilize organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills to ensure effective lesson delivery.
  • Possess a passion for the education of young people and experience working with children of varying ages.
  • Be flexible, adaptable, and possess a 'can-do' attitude, with a good sense of humour.
