About the Client

Sonderwell supports a wonderful client with Autism and Learning Disabilities (LD) in their own home, requiring a skilled Support Worker to provide person-centred care.

This role involves assisting with daily living tasks, promoting the client's emotional and physical well-being, and fostering positive relationships with her family and care team.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in supporting individuals with LD, but previous complex care experience is not essential.

As a member of our team, you will benefit from full training, a supportive team environment, and opportunities for career development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide individualised support to the client, focusing on her needs, preferences, and goals.
  2. Assist with creating and implementing activity plans to promote her engagement and participation.
  3. Foster positive relationships with the client, her family, and other members of the care team.
  4. Contribute to ongoing training and professional development within the care team.

Requirements:

  1. Experience in supporting individuals with Autism and Learning Disabilities is essential.
  2. Previous complex care experience is not required, but an open, flexible attitude and the ability to learn new skills is a must.
  3. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, communicating with colleagues and supervisors to ensure seamless support for the client.
