Lead Adult Autism Specialist Psychologist

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Lead Adult Autism Specialist Psychologist to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for working with adults with autism to lead our adult autism services and contribute to the strategic development and transformation of our specialist services.
Main Responsibilities- To provide high-quality clinical assessments, treatments, and systematic outcome measurement in the specialist Autism care pathway.
- To support the delivery of complex specialist psychological assessment, intervention, and support services for service users referred within the specialist care pathway.
- To provide specialist consultation and clinical input to complex cases presenting with significant distress associated with autism and co-morbid conditions such as psychosis, anxiety, mood disorders, and forensic involvement.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A postgraduate qualification in clinical or counselling psychology.
- Additional specialist postgraduate training relevant to this population, such as ADOS, AAA, or modified therapy for autism.
- Professional registration with the appropriate body, such as the HCPC, as a Practitioner Psychologist.
- A thorough knowledge of evidence-based clinical practice and a commitment to keeping abreast of new developments in psychology and those specific to Adult Autism.
- Experience of working with high levels of risk and severe mental health difficulties.
- Expert knowledge of evidence-based psychological treatments for autism.
