Audience Development Specialist

We are seeking an Audience Development Specialist to join our team at the Leas Lift Company. This is a key role that requires a talented individual with experience of developing and implementing audience development strategies.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the importance of audience development in the cultural sector. They will have experience of working with stakeholders, including local communities, schools, and cultural institutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement audience development strategies to increase engagement with the Leas Lift
- Work with local communities, schools, and cultural institutions to develop partnerships and collaborations
- Manage a team of volunteers, including Research and Oral history volunteers
- Deliver outreach projects with local schools prior to opening
- Plan and deliver a touring puppet show to schools and care homes
- Organise a Leas Lift themed carnival in 2025
- Coordinate outreach workshops with older people in the community
- Develop and deliver heritage talks, tours, and trails for the public
- Manage internships, apprenticeships, and work experience opportunities
- Establish Youth, Access, and Teacher Advisory groups
- Create a new volunteer corps
