Job Overview

About the Role

  • Design and develop safety-critical control systems, equipment, and facilities for submarines
  • Work closely with system owners, suppliers, and customers to support manufacture and delivery of control systems
  • Lead technical work packages, managing design and deliverable evidence
  • Integrate systems containing electronic, mechanical, and software sub-systems, considering the impact on the submarine platform
  • Verify customer needs are satisfied through qualification and test activities

Requirements

We require a degree-level qualification in a relevant STEM subject (Engineering/Physics/Maths/Science) and demonstrable experience in C&I systems design. Chartered engineer status or working towards it is desirable.

Awareness of Defence Standards and Industry standards, such as IEC 61508/61511, ARP 4754, DO-178C/DO-254, is also advantageous.
