About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Systems Specialist to join our team at BAE Systems.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Commission and maintain mechanical systems in a regulated industry, ensuring safe operation and compliance.
  • Develop and implement testing strategies, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure activities are undertaken safely and compliantly.
  • Mentor and train team members, sharing knowledge and competency.
  • Conduct risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and implementing controls.
  • Participate in project planning, coordinating activities and resources.

Requirements

  • Experience in commissioning or maintaining mechanical systems in a regulated industry.
  • Ability to develop and implement testing strategies.
  • Knowledge of safety controls and procedures in high-risk environments.
  • Experience working with high-pressure systems.
  • Ability to understand complex mechanical systems.
  • Awareness of nuclear site/authorisation conditions.
