Senior Mechanical Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Systems Specialist to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our commissioning project, you will be responsible for providing technical and behavioral leadership in the propulsion test section – mechanical.

About the Role:

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to engineers and staff
  • Responsible for research, compilation, and review of documentation to the required standard
  • Represent the company internally and externally as required by contractual agreements
  • Deliver assigned activities in line with company policy, procedures, and legislation
  • Identify required team resources and experience
  • Lead and develop the team to achieve programme requirements and objectives
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert at Authorisation Groups
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of planning activities
  • Perform line management roles and demonstrate management behaviors

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in technical leadership and team management
  • In-depth understanding of delivery and achievement of key milestones
  • Detailed knowledge of safety controls and procedures in high-risk operational environments
  • Ability to provide technical knowledge and instruction on emergent incidents
  • Understanding of capability and learning interventions, best practices, and fundamental principles
  • Knowledge and understanding to provide technical guidance on Gas, Fluid, and Fire Fighting
  • Knowledge and understanding of Mechanical Testing and Pressure & Endurance Testing
  • Strong analytical skills with negotiation abilities
  • Experienced in Stakeholder Management
  • Degree/HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • ILM Level 2/CMI Level 3
