Role Overview


We are seeking an experienced Events Sponsorship Sales Manager to join our team at Wilmington plc. As a key member of our sales department, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through event sponsorship sales and marketing solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities



  • Exceeding sales targets – Proactively developing a robust sales pipeline and closing new business deals.
  • Building relationships – Establishing and nurturing partnerships with senior decision-makers across a range of industries.
  • Consultative selling – Understanding client needs and delivering tailored sponsorship solutions that align with their marketing objectives.
  • Sales planning – Creating and implementing a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve your monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Forecasting and reporting – Accurately forecasting sales, maintaining detailed records in Salesforce, and providing regular reports to management.
  • Collaboration – Working closely with internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of sponsorship packages and marketing campaigns.


Requirements


To succeed in this role, you will need:



  • Extensive experience in B2B event sponsorship or media sales, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong new business development skills, with the ability to identify and convert opportunities into long-term partnerships.
  • Experience in consultative selling and relationship management.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to manage pipelines and client relationships effectively.
  • A passion for working in a high-energy, fast-paced environment where success is driven by achieving sales goals.
  • Experience in selling marketing solutions alongside event sponsorship.


What We Offer


We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, plus benefits including a generous commission scheme, pension, life assurance, additional holiday purchase, healthcare, cycle to work scheme, discount vouchers and access to wellbeing resources.
