Administrative Coordinator for Cancer Research

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Centre Operations Manager to manage the administrative operations of the Centre for Cancer Genetic Epidemiology (CCGE). As Centre Operations Manager, you will oversee the Centre's budget, track spending, and liaise with the University's finance team. You will also manage recruitment processes, staff inductions, and HR paperwork, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

The Centre for Cancer Genetic Epidemiology is a leading research group within the Department of Public Health and Primary Care. The group comprises over 40 research and support staff, as well as postgraduate students and visiting researchers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the Centre's budget and financial management
  • Managing recruitment processes and HR paperwork
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Scheduling meetings and preparing documents
  • Providing administrative support to senior members of staff

This role requires strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.

Key skills and experience:

  • A degree or equivalent work experience
  • Expertise in office administration and financial management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other commonly used software

This is a full-time position or part-time of no less than 0.8 FTE per week.

Funding is available for 2 years from commencement in post.
