We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Laboratory Manager (Senior) Scientific Associate (Maternity Cover) at the Cancer Research UK – Cambridge Institute.

The successful candidate will work in the Cancer Signalling and Therapeutics Laboratory, led by Group Leader Dr Pau Creixell, and will be responsible for scientific support and lab management, as well as experimental research within our lab’s research programme.

The ideal candidate will have a BSc, MSc, or PhD degree level qualification in a relevant field and significant experience in laboratory management, with expertise in molecular cloning, site-directed mutagenesis, protein purification, and biochemistry. Experience in mammalian cell culture, drug discovery, and computational biology would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will assist the group leader in managing the lab, providing technical assistance and guidance to PhD students, postdocs, and other lab members. The role will also involve laboratory administrative, housekeeping, and maintenance duties.
