We're seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to join our team in Kent, where you'll oversee a small caseload of complex care clients. As a key member of our nurse-led care service, you'll work holistically with clinical excellence, focusing on building strong relationships with clients, families, and their care teams.
Your responsibilities will include managing care plans, supporting the induction of new team members, and providing clinical care, such as tracheostomy, ventilation, and gastronomy management, when needed.
As a Nurse Manager, you'll ensure that clients receive exceptional service from a well-trained, enthusiastic team of support workers and registered nurses who echo our values of a passion for quality, one family, and inspiring leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop person-centered care plans and guidance
- Conduct staff supervision, audits, and case management duties
- Be part of the 24-hour service team, undertaking nursing shifts when required
- Oversee staff inductions and competency assessments
- Carry out disciplinary and reflective practice meetings
- Liaise with the wider care team, including MDTs, on clients' care
- Conduct competency assessments with new team members
- Collaborate with the wider care team and Registered Manager
Requirements:
- Adult-trained Registered Nurse and hold a valid NMC PIN
- A minimum of three years' post-registration experience
- Experience in providing community-based care, ideally complex care, such as spinal or brain injuries, PEG, tracheostomy care, and ventilators
- You will have the right to work in the UK and hold a clean UK driving license
