We are seeking a Supported Housing Officer to join our team and provide effective support to residents, promoting independent living and delivering good practice across the service.

About the Job:

The ideal candidate will have experience in supported housing, with a thorough knowledge of welfare benefits, including housing benefit, and a proactive approach to rent arrears.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing individual support plans to promote independent living
  • Working with clients to produce outcome-focused support plans
  • Delivering good practice across the service, including assessing clients' suitability for acceptance to the hostel

Requirements:

  • Experience in supported housing and welfare benefits
  • Ability to deal positively and innovatively with clients exhibiting challenging behaviour
  • Knowledge of income maximisation through housing benefit and welfare benefits
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills
