About the Role: The successful candidate will have a proven track record in delivering high-level sports performance programs and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will work closely with our coaching staff to develop and implement training plans that meet the specific needs of our athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Implement Strength and Conditioning Programs: Develop and deliver comprehensive strength and conditioning programs for our sports teams, ensuring they are tailored to meet the specific needs of each athlete.
- Work with Coaching Staff: Collaborate with our coaching staff to develop and implement training plans that align with our athletic development goals.
- Pupil Reports: Write detailed reports on the progress of our gifted and talented pupils, providing recommendations for future development.
- Safeguarding: Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with safe working practices and comply with relevant legislation and guidelines.
- Lead Department Inset Training: Deliver training sessions to colleagues within the PE department on topics related to strength and conditioning.
- Extracurricular Delivery: Provide physical activity and health-related fitness programs to students and staff through extracurricular activities.
Requirements: To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need to have:
- UKSCA Accreditation: Hold a UKSCA accreditation or be on the pathway to achieving it.
- Experience in S&C: Have experience working on strength and conditioning programs within a school or club environment.
- Up-to-Date Knowledge: Possess up-to-date knowledge of working with children and young people, including safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Collaborative Mindset: Be able to work collaboratively and supportively with colleagues within the school.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- ICT Competence: Have a good understanding of ICT systems and software applications.
