About the Role

The Head of Athletic Development will lead our school's sports development program, focusing on athletic development and strength conditioning for students aged 7-11. The role requires a UKSCA-accredited professional with experience in delivering PE lessons, strength and conditioning programs, and working with performance athletes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver practical sessions in PE lessons, focusing on athletic development for students aged 7-11.
  • Develop and implement a strength and conditioning program for the school's sports teams.
  • Design and deliver individual training programs for gifted and talented pupils, in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Sport (Performance).
  • Promote physical activity and health-related fitness through extracurricular delivery.
  • Provide an appropriate rehabilitation pathway for injured pupils, liaising with parents, staff, and external clubs and organizations.
  • Lead department inset training for colleagues.
  • Opportunity to attend Saturday fixtures supporting the preparation of the school teams or in a coaching capacity.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary up to £34,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience, along with a range of benefits, including a pension scheme, death in service, free lunch, and cycle to work scheme.
