We are seeking an experienced Senior Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Response Organisation. This role offers a competitive salary of £26,000 - £29,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits.

About the Role

In this critical role, you will work closely with clients who require support with serious mental illness, including adults with primary diagnoses of psychotic illnesses. You will lead shifts, manage medication, and provide person-centred support, as well as mentor junior staff and contribute to a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage medication, delegate tasks, and ensure the smooth operation of daily activities.
  • Take charge during incidents, safeguarding, and complaints, adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Provide emotional support, encouragement, and practical assistance to residents with daily living activities.
  • Assess referrals, undertake risk management training, and ensure risk is continuously assessed.
Requirements
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • A commitment to ongoing personal development
  • Detailed understanding of mental health challenges and the level of care required
  • An understanding of current approaches to mental health practice
  • Good knowledge of referral and assessment processes
