Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse/Midwife/AHP to join our team as a Nurse Specialist Corneal Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the department, assisting in ensuring the safe running of the department, and participating in promoting an active learning environment for student Nurses.

The ideal candidate will have extensive clinical experience, participation in research, and evidence of leading and facilitating change. A post-basic specialist qualification relevant to the specialty is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the department and deputise in the absence of the Lead Nurse
  • Assist in ensuring the safe running of the department and adequate staff cover
  • Contribute to the cost-effective control of resources and ensuring adequate pharmacy supplies
  • Work in a collaborative manner with other departments
  • Participate in promoting an active learning environment for student Nurses
  • Take part in Nursing Audit and Research and continually monitor levels of care through benchmarking and initiate changes as required

Salary Information: £37,338 - £44,962 per annum pro rata.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse / Midwife/AHP
  • Post-basic specialist Qualification relevant to specialty
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • ECDL
