About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Central Government Account Director to join our team at Trustmarque Solutions Ltd. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with central government customers in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute account capture and development plans to maximize opportunities with central government customers.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with central government customers, understanding their business needs and regional initiatives.
  • Establish a strong pipeline of qualified business opportunities, leveraging existing frameworks and partnerships.
  • Provide proactive client value and thought leadership to central government customers, positioning Trustmarque as a trusted partner for innovation and strategic direction.
  • Collaborate with strategic partners and vendors to leverage opportunities and stakeholders.
  • Manage the commercial relationship with central government customers, including aged debt, payment, and conditions of business.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in central government sales, with a strong understanding of the UK public sector.
  • Experience in winning new government contracts in a competitive environment.
  • Existing relationships with central government stakeholders and a strong network of contacts.
  • Strong business development skills, with the ability to shape multiple opportunities.
  • Knowledge of IT, digital, and data requirements and drivers in the local government sector.
  • Experience with Microsoft, Cisco, and AWS.
  • Experience working across public sector frameworks, locally and nationally.
  • Ability to develop pricing and business case models through effective benefits management.
  • Strong planning, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with the structure, skills, and business environment of local government organizations.
  • Customer-focused, with a professional services orientation.
