About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fleet Vehicle Checker to join our team at DPDgroup. As a key member of our fleet operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are checked for condition and road worthiness, and that any defects are reported and rectified in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily checks on all fleet vehicles, including rental vehicles, and record the check and condition via the Vehicle App.
  • Check and ensure that all 3.5 Tonne Vans vehicles do not exceed 3.5 Tonnes in weight using the weighbridge.
  • Identify and report any damage or defects on vehicles, and ensure that they are rectified in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular site and equipment checks to ensure that all vehicles and equipment are in good working order.
  • Ensure that all drivers have the correct DPD Uniform at all times and that the vans are up to company standards and are kept clean at all times.

  • Ability to work in a systematic, methodical and orderly way, following all depot instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and without close supervision.
