Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Service Advisor to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED. As a key member of our fleet operations team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality fleet repairs and maintenance services to our vehicle fleet and equipment holdings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Fleet Operations Manager and workshop supervisor to ensure efficient and effective fleet repairs and maintenance.
  • Liaise with internal customers to arrange Service Level Agreements meetings and ensure service provision and service standards are met.
  • Ensure all Council vehicle and equipment assets are recorded correctly in the vehicle and equipment database.
  • Be the first point of contact for workshop supplier queries and service queries to the fleet department and workshops.
  • Complete all scheduling for vehicles, ride-on equipment, and all parks equipment, ensuring internal customers receive timely notification of inspection, service, and MOT appointments.
  • Liaise with external service providers to ensure MOTs and booked services align with MOT/service bookings in the fleet workshop.
  • Control and maintain SLA agreements with internal and external customers/suppliers.
  • Assist in internal and external audits of the fleet and workshop department.
  • Ensure all vehicles, plant, and equipment are held in the vehicle/equipment database and service records are amended and updated as required.
  • Ensure all vehicles listed on the Council's Operator's Licence have their preventative maintenance inspections, service, MOT, and LOLER tests scheduled in alignment with prevailing DVSA regulations and manufacturers' requirements.
  • Effectively report on vehicle maintenance costs and availability.
  • Liaise with external suppliers for the supply of parts and ensure they are delivered on time and meet the correct specification agreed with the workshop.
  • Ensure all external suppliers are managed effectively to ensure the Council maintains cost-effective vehicle repairs.
  • Assist the Head of Fleet Operations Manager to ensure all procedures laid down by the DVSA with relation to O Licence standards are met.
  • Contribute to the fleet and workshop business continuity plan and support.
  • Resolve customer and supplier concerns in accordance with the Council's corporate complaint policy and escalate as required to the Fleet Operations Manager.
Essential Experience Required
  • Substantial experience of working in a fleet/workshop environment.
  • Substantial experience of working with a fleet/workshop database and maintaining detailed records.
  • Proven experience of developing quality systems to ensure the delivery of efficient support to internal and external customers.
  • Experience in a commercial vehicle environment.
  • Experience of dealing with and monitoring external suppliers.
  • Competence in using IT systems, especially in a workshop environment.
