As a Medical Officer in the Royal Air Force, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional healthcare to our personnel, at home and abroad. Key responsibilities



  • Providing medical support to RAF personnel, including delivering primary and secondary care, and participating in aeromedical evacuation operations
  • Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, including contributing to medical research and development
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to improve healthcare services and outcomes
  • Participating in training and development programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
  • Representing the RAF in national and international forums to promote healthcare excellence and collaboration


Requirements



  • Be a fully registered medical practitioner with the General Medical Council
  • Hold a recognized medical qualification (e.g., MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent)
  • Have at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in a medical specialty
  • Be able to work effectively in a military environment, including in challenging and dynamic situations
  • Hold a valid driving license and be willing to undergo regular medical checks
