**Crew Controller**

**Purpose of the Role**
- Manages and co-ordinates all crewing matters relating to the A330 flying programme within a 5 day window, ensuring that all components of the operation comply with relevant legislation._
- This is an onsite, shift-based role, including Days and Nights. _
- Salary: £36012 +£6455 Shift allowance._

**Responsibilities**:

- The allocation of crews to tasks once the Pre-Ops area hands over the required period, updating the crew rosters as required for a 5 day period. Ensuring future pertinent issues are communicated back to the Crew Scheduling and Crew Training Teams.
- Ensuring flight time limitations are adhered to in accordance with the company FTL scheme(VOM/COM) and Crew Protocols where applicable
- Monitoring and completing all checks to ensure the day to day flying programme and crew rosters are fully maintained and managed to the highest standard ensuring all crew are compliant in line with FTL and protocols, ensuring delays and disruption are fully managed and a complete and comprehensive handover is delivered at the end of each shift.
- Notifying crew members involved in tasks (or standby commitments) of their individual itineraries and report times if a last minute change is required.
- Ensuring that crew patterns are the most efficient use of the crew.
- Liaising with the wider Crew Scheduling and Crew Training Teams with regard to any changes with respect to the tasking to allow for other departments to manage their areas accordingly and aircrew records and training to be updated.
- Seeking approval from the military Sqn Cdrs (MAR tasks only) with respect to the allocation of crew members for authorisation purposes if a change occurs at short notice.
- Managing the 3PR requirements with regard to our long term customers. Ensuring all paperwork and checks are complete to carry out a safe and compliant operation.Working with the CDS to ensure all 3PR records and crew information is up to date.
- Managing the short notice Leasing / ACMI requirements safely, efficiently and cost effectively ensuring that all crew remain legal and compliant in line with the company FTL scheme and ensuring effective communications with the Leasing team.
- Responsible for coordinating with the Crew Duty Officer all crew (including engineers) HOTAC and travel arrangements if a change occurs within the 5 day window.
- The identification of crews (and notifying crew members) of any short notice tasking if minimum notice is given.
- Overseeing that effective feedback is given with respect to journey logs and crew enquiries and passing such information to the Crew Scheduling Officers.
- Maintain a log of all events affecting the last minute changes via the handover
- Ensuring that any errors are captured in the error log reporting tool.
- Ensuring all checklists are completed with respect to work undertaken.
- Overseeing on a shift by shift basis that the CDO is completing all allocated tasks.
- Where required supporting the CDS in the delivery of OJT to colleagues and maintaining training reports as required.
- Carry out any other duties deemed necessary to fulfil the role.
- Should you be asked or instructed to fulfil a different role then the relevant Job and Training profile for the role you are to fulfil is to be followed.
- To be responsible for rostered duties or changes to a crew members roster that may have a fatigue impact, ensuring that FRM principles and mitigations are in place.
- Be personally responsible for engaging in all facets of the role in line with the requirements of the ATrS SMS, Quality and Environmental Management Systems to provide a safe and efficient outcome to all that you do.This includes maintaining awareness of the company safety and quality policies and the hazard analyses applicable to your tasking. **The Individual**

Essential job holder qualifications & experience at recruitment
- Proven crew planning ability.
- Be adaptable to the changing needs of the customer.
- Demonstrable communication skills.
- Demonstrable computer literacy.
- Team player but also an ability to act on own initiative when required.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of EASA FTL Scheme.
- Be proficient in the English language (written, verbal & reading) - To ICAO Level 4 Standard.
- Ability to work a flexible shift pattern. Desirable job holder qualifications & experience at recruitment
- Crew Scheduling software experience, preferably AIMS
- It is highly desirable that this role is aware of the impact they have on down route operations.
