**Cabin Services People Support Officer**

**Purpose of the Role**

Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end employment relationship for all the cabin crew community
- Implement the People and Culture strategy by creating a safe and inclusive working environment for our Cabin Crew community whilst balancing a strong colleague centric ethic to achieve the right outcome
- Implement people policies and procedures (e.g. recruitment, probation, performance, grievance, misconduct, absence, maternity, flexible working, leavers) including management and oversight of all associated processes
- Use data analysis and reporting alongside crew feedback to identify trends, recommend solutions and implement changes to ensure that every opportunity is taken to drive a positive culture to maintain high standards as defined by regulatory authorities
- Evolve a culture that supports collaborative working, supports our business direction, and will inspire people to be engaged, empowered, and motivated and understand how their contribution makes a difference.
- In collaboration with the Cabin Services Management Team, lead and manage the local communications for all the cabin crew community to include
- Act as the On-Call support for Cabin crew during major disruption or welfare related incidents. Be a visible Cabin representative at the airport when required, and ensure compliance with all Corporate Safety and Security procedures
- Working proactively with managers and teams across the business to maintain continuous improvement within their areas through the adoption of industry best practices
- Support the department in the development of a strong safety culture reflected by timely and accurate reporting and investigation of safety reports.
- Build and maintain excellent working relationships with internal company groups, such as Health, Safety and Environment
- Build relationships and influence others at all levels working with a remote work force
- Responsible for the authorisation of cabin crew expenses including credit card authorisation in accordance with financial procedures and within departmental budget

The Individual

Essential job holder qualifications & experience at recruitment
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading and managing a team
- Demonstrable experience of driving performance within a team
- Experience in the management of absence policy and promotion of positive working ethics
- Demonstrable ability to lead through change
- Natural leadership skills and proven ability of coaching to optimise performance
- Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage to tight deadlines
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- IT literacy and be fully competent with the full suite of MS Office
- Experience of leading and working within multi-discipline teams

Desirable job holder qualifications & experience at recruitment
- Hold or be willing to undertake the CIPD Level 3 in People Practice or equivalent
- Experience in leading a team in an aviation environment
