About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join our education team, providing high-quality teaching and learning within a meaningful and engaging curriculum that stretches and challenges all learners.

Job Description

This permanent, full-time position offers the opportunity to work with students aged 6-19 who have varying degrees of physical and learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and associated difficulties.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a highly specialist learning environment, collaborating with our therapeutic team to develop a child-centred curriculum, and contributing to a well-resourced school with exceptional facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning, using a sensory lead curriculum to meet the needs of students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement individualised learning plans
  • Assess, report, and record student progress accurately and diligently
  • Lead and direct other adults supporting within the class, promoting positive team working
Requirements
  • PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification, along with in-service training
  • Working knowledge of the Teacher Standards and expectations
  • Knowledge and personal experience of SEN learning, particularly sensory lead curriculums
  • Diligence and accuracy in assessing, reporting, and recording student progress
