About the Role

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Imaging Technician to join our team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing technical support for ophthalmic imaging equipment
  • Conducting visual field measurements and other diagnostic tests
  • Assisting with the training and supervision of junior staff members
  • Contributing to the development of departmental policies and procedures

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A science A-level or equivalent experience
  • Significant experience of working within ophthalmic imaging to degree level equivalent
  • A detailed understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the eye and a sound knowledge of ophthalmic conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
