About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Imaging Technician to join our team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust. As a key member of our department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train and supervise junior Ophthalmic imagers
  • Conduct visual field measurements, disc imaging, OCT, FFA/ICG, and slit lamp photography
  • Perform retina, anterior segment, and external eye imaging, including video
  • Contribute to departmental policies and procedures
  • Work independently and as part of the wider team
Requirements
  • Science A Level or equivalent experience
  • Significant experience of working within Ophthalmic imaging to degree level equivalent
  • A detailed understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the eye and a sound knowledge of ophthalmic conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in the use of Humphrey visual field analyser and other imaging equipment
