About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting learners with sensory impairments in mainstream settings across Worcestershire. This is an excellent opportunity to work with deaf children and young people, advocating for their needs and providing essential support in educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support to deaf pupils, ensuring they meet their educational outcomes.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop strategies for inclusive learning.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with children/young people, deafness, and meeting targeted outcomes.
  • BSL level 2 qualification or currently undertaking this.
  • Ability to travel across the county, advocating for the needs of deaf pupils.

  • A competitive salary range: £20,402 - £23,779 (pro-rata for part-time staff).
