Aspire People is a leading provider of education and care services, and we are currently seeking a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our team.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children who require both educational support and personal care assistance. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in SEN, looking for a rewarding position in an inclusive and nurturing environment.

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly in a classroom setting, and be willing and able to provide personal care assistance when required.

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, and we offer a range of benefits, including access to ongoing training and development opportunities, and a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting children with special educational needs in accessing the curriculum and meeting their individual learning needs.
  • Providing personal care support, including toileting, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
  • Working closely with the class teacher to ensure that each child receives the support they need to succeed.
  • Communicating effectively with parents and other professionals involved in the child's care and education.
  • Promoting independence and encouraging children to take ownership of their learning.
